Pianist Dmitri Levkovich, who was scheduled to perform J S Bach’s Goldberg Variations, had to cancel his November 26 recital due to personal reasons.
I am pleased to announce that pianist Shoshana Telner, a long-time member of Les AMIS family, has enthusiastically accepted the challenge to present a delightful program for our enjoyment.
NOTE: Les AMIS hopes that those of you who have already purchased a ticket will attend Shoshana’s recital. However, if you are unable to do so, you may request a refund OR you may use your ticket for any future Les AMIS event.
For lovers of Goldberg Variations, I am pleased to announce that it will be on the Les AMIS program later in the season. Exceptional Czech pianist, Radka Hanakova, will be coming to Cobourg from Prague, Czech Republic, courtesy of Joseph Macerollo, U of T Professor and Les AMIS Artistic advisor.
Macerollo wrote, “l advised a very talented concert pianist for her doctoral dissertation on Oskar Morawetz at U of T last year. She can perform Bach’s Goldberg Variations complete from memory. She really is exceptional.”
